Masonic Village at Warminster is hiring a RN Director of Nursing. This is a Full Time Day with on call evenings/weekends opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As a RN Director of Nursing, you will carry out our Mission of Love by being responsible for the overall management of the healthcare center nursing department. Provide direct supervision/instruction to the Nurse Manager and the RN management team. Must be able to effectively communicate with the nursing department staff as well as other departments throughout the facility to help ensure quality care and effective teamwork. Our RN Director of Nursing is responsible for the following:

  • Contributes positively to an organization wide comprehensive planning process annually and ongoing that contains achievable objectives connected to appropriate goals which relate to the purpose of Nursing and the Hospice Program as guided by the vision and mission of Masonic Village.
  • Assures department compliance with Hospice, OBRA, JCAHO and other regulatory and/or accrediting bodies. Prepares and implements plans of correction as directed by the Administrator of Health Care Services.
  • Assures the preparation of financial budgets for all areas of responsibility.  Collaborates with and obtains the approval of the budgets by the Administrator of Health Care Services.  Remains accountable for the operational and financial performance of Nursing Services as described above.
  • Supports the quality improvement initiative including Nursing Quality Improvement.  Serves in a leadership role regarding quality through role modeling, positive behavior, requiring the presence of quality monitors and developing standards of care. 
  • Supports the Safety & Risk Management Department especially with the reviewing of trended information for resident and employee incidents and accidents.  Assures reporting to the Department of Health of all reportable events.
  • Provides and assures timely and appropriate communication with employees.  Meets directly with staff and management as needed and utilizes appropriate communication techniques.  Serves as a resource to the Nursing Leadership Team members, the office staff, and other employees.

What You Definitely Have:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (required).
  • Five years recent nursing or clinical experience, including satisfactory experience as a manager (required).
  • Experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing (preferred).
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to long term care facility (required).
  • CPR certification required prior to or upon employment.
  • Positive interpersonal skills (required).
  • Planning and budgeting skills (preferred).
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (preferred).
  • Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
